DESIGN
UNUSED

In every brand designer’s archives lives a collection of unused marks, logos, monograms, submarks, and other little brand designs that didn’t make the cut. Sometimes we revisit them because there was just something about them. I’ve seen other designers give them a little highlight reel on social media or just used sporadically throughout their posts and portfolios. So here’s a little look to appreciate the ones not chosen. I may have to do a series in the future. I had to cut so many ‘didn’t make the cuts’ that the others are probably developing a complex by now.

I have an affinity for simple lines which is probably why I selected these. As the saying goes, ‘there’s beauty in simplicity’.

Until next time,
